Restaurants also continue to reopen or return to normal.īeyond getting back to normal, things are always changing and being added at Walt Disney World. For insight into entertainment and everything else that isn’t back, see the 2023 Walt Disney World Refurbishment & Closure Calendar, which we update regularly with return and downtime dates. Before that, the full Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo: The Big Blue and Beyond both came back at Animal Kingdom. Late last year, Fantasmic returned to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Otherwise, things are pretty much back to normal. Other character meet & greets and dining experiences continue returning or being added to Walt Disney World. Most notably, the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda began making appearances in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a number of rare characters just debuted, including Max as Powerline and the Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers. Character experiences are the big thing that continues to improve, and that’s true not just at Magic Kingdom. Most recently, Enchanted Tales with Belle and Ariel’s Grotto returned to Magic Kingdom, as did princess dining at Cinderella’s Royal Table.
